The basic Movie story plots that Dhanraj Singh (Dalip Tahil) And Randhir Singh (Goga Kapoor) are two rival families . Raj(Aamir) is son of Dhanraj singh and Rashmi (Juhi ) is daughter of Randhir singh. . Raj and Rashmi both fall in love at a holiday spot. But due to their Rivalaries, they both are unable to tell their parents about their love. Unfortunately , Randhir singh come to know to about their love and gets angry . He decides to get Rashmi Married . But Raj and Rashmi ran away from their houses and stay in deserted fort , happy in their own paradise . But Randhir finds them and makes the plan to kill Raj . When Raj went to cut the trees from forest , Randhir meets Rashmi and makes her sure that he has accepted their love and send some people secretly to kill Raj . At the Same time Dhanraj also arrives . But Unfortunately Rashmi comes to know about this plan and goes to save Raj . Seeing Rashmi coming for help , the contractor kills Rashmi . Raj sees her rolling down and kills the contractor . As they both had promised to not leave each other at any cost , Raj kills himself .
The final scene is both families running toward them; the lovers are together, never to be separated, as the sun sets behind them.
The movie has one of the best evergreen songs of the Bollywood. The music is given by Anand-Miland and lyrics are written by Majrooh Sultanpuri . Beautiful Lyrics And Melidious music has made the album most memorable.
